VISIT THE DISCOVERY CENTER
Discover Utah's Canyon Country at the Canyon Country Discovery Center!
The Canyon Country Discovery Center offers hands-on educational experiences about the Colorado Plateau through learning stations (exhibits), adventure education field trips, workshops, citizen science projects and classes on our campus and throughout the Colorado Plateau.
Our building incorporates an energy-efficient technology design derived from the Colorado Plateau’s natural and human cultures: a circular visitor's center exhibit hall connects to a south-facing rectangular building with a classroom, conference space, kitchen and staff offices. The Canyon Country Discovery Center is located in Monticello, Utah, a gateway to Utah’s iconic Canyon Country.
Our Canyon Country Discovery Center campus includes:
Classroom and Research Lab
48-acres of juniper, piñon and sagebrush.
Trails for leisurely hikes or snowshoeing.
Covered Picnic Pavilions.
Observatory for Dark Sky Discovery
