The Canyon Country Discovery Center offers hands-on educational experiences about the Colorado Plateau through learning stations (exhibits), adventure education field trips, workshops, professional development training, citizen science projects, and classes on our campus and throughout the Colorado Plateau.

Our building incorporates an energy-efficient technology design derived from the Colorado Plateau’s natural and human cultures: a circular visitor's center exhibit hall connects to a south-facing rectangular building with a classroom, conference space, kitchen, and staff offices. The Canyon Country Discovery Center is located in Monticello, Utah, a gateway to Utah’s iconic Canyon Country.
Our Canyon Country Discovery Center campus includes:
16,200 square foot building with a conference hall that seats up to 120 people and can break out into 4 spaces.
Exhibit Hall with 30 hands-on learning stations.
48-acres of juniper, piñon, and sagebrush.
Trails for leisurely hikes, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing.
Full catering kitchen and 5 covered picnic pavilions.
Observatory for night sky viewing.
5 culturally themed learning pavilions and 15 outdoor learning stations.
Classroom and research lab.
Wetlands and pond.
